We are very proud of our amazing students who took part in regional and national science fairs recently. Over 300 students took part in the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair. From these 300 entrants, 17 students, including 8 Burnaby students, were invited to attend the national Canada Wide Science Fair.

Recently three students and their teacher from Kushiro Meiki High School in Japan visited Burnaby for a week. Activities included meeting up with their buddy students at Moscrop Secondary and attending classes. They also visited Cascade Heights Elementary where the three students showed the younger elementary children how to make origami and play games popular in Japan.
Burnaby Mountain, with a student population of 1500, is located in the North-East region of Burnaby near Simon Fraser University. Mountain has a diverse student population and offers its students a wide range of programs and courses. Camilla, aged 17, has been a student at Moscrop since September and will be staying until the end of January. An accomplished and talented volleyball player, Camilla joined the Moscrop Senior Girls Volleyball team and has led the team to important tournament wins.
Moscrop Secondary is home to approximately 1500 students and is located in Central Burnaby. Founded in 1956, Moscrop has many esteemed programs in academics (including Honours and AP courses), the performing arts, music, as well as French Immersion.
