February 2025: Accepting applications

September 2025: Early enrollment begins October 15th, with full enrollment opening on December 1st.

Before You Begin

We regret that we cannot accept students who:

    • Have graduated from their home country high school.
    • Are over 17 years of age and are coming with the intention of obtaining a high school graduation diploma.
    • Are struggling academically.
    • Are facing serious physical or mental health, learning, or behavioral challenges.

Before starting the application:

  1. Ensure you have student and parent details (names, birthdates, contact numbers, addresses).
  2. Gather all required and recommended documents (listed below). Submit as PDF (preferred) or JPEG, each under 5MB. Rescan if larger.

Application Fee: $250 CAD, non-refundable.

Required Documents for Application Processing

  1. TRANSCRIPTS / REPORT CARDS – Last 2 years of school + most recent mid-term (if available), in English. Upload all pages as a single PDF.  As well as the originals
  2. PASSPORT PHOTO PAGE or BIRTH CERTIFICATE – PDF or JPEG, under 5MB.
  3. Legal Agreement and Waiver Form (4 Pages) – Must be signed and initialed. Review Refund Policy carefully.

Incomplete applications will be deleted after 14 days.

Required Documents for Letter of Acceptance (LOA)

After meeting admission requirements, submit these documents with program fee payment. Submitting them with your application is recommended but not required.

Secondary Students (Grades 8–12):

  1. FIELD TRIP CONSENT FORM –  February 2025 / September 2025
  2. Student Interest Form (Gr. 9-12)
  3. Medical Information Form
  4. Parent Living with Student Form (if applicable)
  5. Custodianship Forms (if not living with a parent)
  6. VACCINATION / IMMUNIZATION RECORDS (English + original)
  7. Graduation Waiver – (Required for students applying to Grade 12 ONLY)

Elementary Students (Kindergarten – Grade 7):

  1. Medical Information Form
  2. School Placement Confirmation Form 
  3. Parent Living with Student Form (if applicable)
  4. VACCINATION / IMMUNIZATION RECORDS (English + original)
  5. Custodianship Forms (if not living with a parent):
    • Grades K–5 must live with a parent.
    • Grade 6 may live with a blood-related guardian.
    • Grade 7 may live in a privately arranged homestay.

Additional Information

A Letter of Acceptance is required for a Study Permit. Study Permits are mandatory for stays of six months or more.

  • Given high demand, the payment deadline for the letter of offer will be 2 weeks.

SECONDARY SCHOOLS 

As many of you are eager to register, we are now releasing a limited number of seats at select schools and accepting waitlist applications for others. On December 1st additional seats will be released at all schools, except for Moscrop Secondary.

You have 3 options, depending on your preferred Burnaby Schools

Option 1

Choose 3 schools from the Currently Open section; you will be immediately assigned a school.

Option 2

Choose a school from the Waitlist Available section as your 1st choice and two schools from the Currently Open section; you will be immediately assigned the open school while also being placed on the waitlist for your 1st choice.

Option 3

Choose only schools from the Waitlist Available section; you will be added to their waitlist, and we will do our best to place you in one of our waitlisted schools.

** Please note that placement at waitlisted schools is not guaranteed as it will depend on space and number of applications received. Once a student is assigned a Burnaby Secondary School, a letter of offer and a tuition invoice will be issued.

LANGARA HOMESTAY

February 2025: CLOSED

September 2025:  Langara homestay will be closing their homestay applications on March 31, 2025.

  • The Langara Homestay Program does not accept applications for Grade 8 or 9 students.
