School Year Schedule

The Burnaby International Student Program offers three entry points each school year: September, February, and April (Limited Seats).

Reporting

Student progress is communicated to families throughout the school year through formal report cards and ongoing teacher feedback. Report cards provide a clear picture of a student’s academic achievement and growth, helping students and families understand progress toward learning goals.

Secondary Schools

Schools on a semester system issue four report cards — mid-November, end of January, end of April, and end of June.

Schools on a linear system issue three report cards — mid-December, early April, and end of June.

Elementary Schools

All elementary schools follow the linear system and issue three report cards — in December (before Winter Break), March (before Spring Break), and June (last day of school).

Report cards are not printed. Parents and custodians can view them securely through MyEDBC. If you do not have direct access, please ask your child to download and share a copy with you.
