Cariboo Hill Secondary is adding five new academies for Burnaby students. Starting in the Fall of 2018, Cariboo Hill will offer a DigiPen Gaming Academy, a Palo Alto Cyber Security Academy, and Microsoft Office Specialist Certification. Lacrosse and volleyball academies will also be offered, making Cariboo Hill a new hub for personalised learning.

Q: How long did it take you to feel comfortable in Burnaby and specifically, feel comfortable and “fitting in” at your school?
A: Not long, like one week – because everyone is really friendly and you can talk to everybody.
Studying in Burnaby has a lot going for it: a first-class school district, the best public transit system in Metro Vancouver, and proximity to one of the world’s most iconic cities: Vancouver.
It’s time to start thinking about university applications (is it ever too early?) and many students are going to be applying to UBC. And for good reason: UBC is an internationally recognised university and one of the top 3 research universities in Canada.
