Throughout the school year, international students are invited to participate in exciting optional excursions offered through Discover Canada Tours, such as trips to Whistler, Victoria, and the Rocky Mountains.

Excursion Flyers

  • When you click on a trip link below, a flyer with information and a QR code will open.
  • Scan the QR code to access the Discover Canada Tours Burnaby page with full trip details and registration instructions.
  • To participate in International Student Program excursions, parental consent is required. A general Field Trip Consent & Waiver Form is sent to parents before the start of the program and covers all International Student Program excursions for the school year.
  • If you register for a trip and we do not have a signed form on file, we will contact you.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Non-Burnaby Excursions

A condition of enrollment in the Burnaby International Student Program is that students are not to travel outside of Metro Vancouver unless supervised by a responsible adult age 25 or older. We ask that parents and custodians support this policy.

From time to time, students may be invited to participate in events or trips that are not organized or supervised by the Burnaby School District. Before authorizing any such travel, it is important that families understand the associated risks and limitations.

This form outlines:
  • District limitations regarding unsupervised travel
  • Expectations around adult supervision
  • Medical insurance requirements and legal disclaimers
If you are unsure whether an event is organized by the school district, please contact the International Education Department at: international@burnabyschools.ca.
